Just paired the VF2 to my mobile and the PLT Hub app doesn't see it despite being paired and connected. I've done that now and gave me the same result I have re-paired my VF2 to the BT700 without success.now that I think about it, the only thing I hadn't done is try to pair the VF2 to the BT600. My audio apps (Teams and Zoom for the moment) both have the BT700 dongle as the audio device (same as when I use the 5200/6200 I select the BT600 dongle as the audio device) and I can speak to others and hear my calls just fine. Same results when connecting both dongles to my MacBook Pro. The 6200 shows up in Hub (also Lens though with a warning that it isn't supported yet) but the VF2 does not. Neither the 6200 nor the VF2 show up in Device Manager as discreet devices, just the corresponding dongles. When I told him the fix he said he’d let engineering know. Anyone else having this issue recently (no recent FW update and none available) and know a way to un-Bork it?Įdit: the manager actually called me back, apologized for the agent not knowing simple facts about their product and he provided additional training. Tl dr My Poly Voyager Focus 2 now doesn’t show up as a device in Hub or Lens unless I plug the headset in via USB so I can’t see charge level or make changes without a USB cable. She asks me if there’s anything else, I ask for a supervisor and she takes my info and tells me to expect a call in 72 business hrs. I explain that my other headsets don’t function that way. I plead with her to think about this reasonably, and ask why anyone should have to plug a wireless headset in to change the volume min/max setting from voice to just beeps, and why it worked last week…she reiterated that’s how they all work. I get THE SAME PERSON on the phone and she just stonewalls me telling me this is how it is and it’s how all the headsets work. Three hours later I call support since she suggested it and I’ve had good luck with them in the past. If I connect the VF2 via USB it will show up in both Hub and Lens, but that’s not the point. I have to wait until later in the day because I’m due back in training. I tell her that both my 52 work correctly, she then tells me I should call. I tell her she’s mistaken, she tells me I’m mistaken, and on we go. She then tells me that this is how all their headsets work and she even tells me that updating firmware via Hub requires a USB connection (no they don’t, no it doesn’t though it does warn you not to turn off the headset while updating). So I pop open a chat with Poly support and she tells me I have to plug my headset in via USB to change ANY settings. I KNOW this was working for the VF2 last week because I was making changes to the device and even changed language (requires a firmware update) while wearing it successfully.Īt this point I think I’m boned because I’ll never be able to check the charge percentage or adjust settings. Plug in the BT600 for my 6200 turn it on I see the 6200. Plug in the BT600 for my 5200, turn it on I see the 5200. Install Lens (seems like overkill for a headset but whatever), same deal. No such luck with the VF2, so I uninstall Hub, reboot, reinstall, no joy. This would happen from time to time with both the 52, always solved it with a reboot. I noticed yesterday that there was no charging indication when I put the VF2 in the charging cradle, the opened Hub and it was gone, only showing me only the BT700. The VF2 showed up as it’s own device in Hub just as the 52 did. I recently bought a Voyager Focus 2 and connected the new dongle (BT700) and turned on the headset. I’ve been using a Voyager 52 UC for years now, they’ve always shown up in Hub as separate devices in addition to the dongles (BT600).
